Snapvies is provided by Achromic LLC. This policy explains how Snapvies handles information when you use the macOS app.
Data collection
Snapvies processes screen captures, screen recordings, annotations, audio, and exports locally on your Mac. Snapvies does not require an account and Achromic LLC does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data through the app. Snapvies contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, telemetry, or third-party software-development kits.
Permissions and media
Snapvies requests macOS Screen & System Audio Recording permission only to perform a capture or recording you initiate. It requests microphone permission only when you enable microphone recording. System audio and microphone audio can be enabled or disabled independently.
Snapvies requests Photos add permission only when you choose to add an image or completed recording to Apple Photos. Files added to Photos may be synchronized by Apple according to your Photos and iCloud settings; that synchronization is controlled by you and Apple, not by Snapvies or Achromic LLC.
Images and videos are otherwise written only to locations you select. Snapvies does not upload captured media.
Local storage and retention
Preferences such as shortcuts, the last export location, recording options, and post-capture behavior are stored locally using macOS preferences.
While a recording is being completed, video is kept in Snapvies’ private app container. After recording stops, you choose whether to save a file, add it to Photos, do both, edit it first, or delete it. An exported file remains in the location you selected until you delete it. Media added to Photos remains there until you delete it through Photos.
Snapvies keeps no server-side copy because the app does not send this content to Achromic LLC.
Your controls
You can revoke Screen & System Audio Recording, Microphone, or Photos permission at any time in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security. Revoking a permission prevents the related feature from working until permission is granted again.
You can delete exported media in Finder or Photos. You can remove locally stored app preferences and private app-container data by uninstalling Snapvies and deleting its associated data using macOS tools. Because Achromic LLC receives no app data, there is no Achromic LLC account or remote personal-data record to delete.
Children’s privacy
Snapvies is a general-purpose productivity utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other user.
Changes to this policy
If Snapvies’ data practices change, Achromic LLC will update this policy, the app’s privacy manifest, and the App Store privacy disclosures as required before distributing the changed version. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
